ART | Carlos Enriquez-Gonzalez

Phillips de Pury is having its Latin American Contemporary Art Auction again this year, and Venezuelan artist/sculptor, Carlos Enriquez-Gonzalez is back at it again. You may remember last year, when they auctioned (and sold) his 9ft tall Vagina Monster! This year he has two pieces in it, the Flesh Flower, as well as the Hermaphrodite.

And by pieces…we mean these jammies:

Viewing runs September 25-29, 2010. Other artists include Fernando Botero, Sergio Camargo, Beatriz Milhazes, Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Tina Modotti, Vik Muniz and Fernando and Humberto Campana among others.
